By remembering the basic differences between 2d and 3d, you can easily distinguish between 2d and 3d animation together. A 2d object looks just like a piece of paper. You can measure it with respect to height and width because it consists of a 2d space. On the other hand, you can measure a 3d object in respect to its length, width, depth, or height. A 3d object consists of a surface and has a cast of shadows in it. A most common and simple example of a 2d object is a round circle outlined on a wall. Contrary to this, a 3d object reflects a soccer ball. Similarly, 2d animation is just like a simple animation shown on televisions. By using some respective tools of animation like foreshortening and by creating distinctive space and depth, artists develop scenes and characters in 2d space. This whole perspective is different in 3d animation where there is no stop-count.
3d animation is different from 2d because it requires the use of the computer to make it work. Different angles are used in 3d animation named X, Y, and Z and thus make a 3d animation. It involves such things that you cannot create while using 2d animation. It involves multiple angles such as rotation at 3600 angles containing specific volumes. 3d animation made everything looks real. All the pictures and objects have textures that make them appear like solid on screens. They can be viewed from various angles and directions. It gives a lit presentation. Those solid textures can also be put into different elements as well as in live scenes.
2d animation is more like a flipbook art. It makes the objects like they are moving and are alive on screen. Every drawing and character sketched or outlined in a different pattern from one another. No animation is best than the other. Because both 2d animation and 3d animation have their unique features and benefits. They also have some disadvantages.
